Abstract
Several polyspiroacetals were synthesized by interfacial polyconcensation from 3, 9-bis(4-hydorxyphenyl)-2, 4, 8, 10-tetraoxaspiroundecane [SAB] with aliphatic acid chloride. The majority of these polymer were soluble in polar solvents like m-cresol and phenol/tetrachloroethane(1 : 1), and the inherent viscosities were ranged from 0.15 to 0.29dl/g. The Tg''s were detectable at 60∼125℃, whose values decreased with increasing aliphatic chain length. 5% Weight loss in TG curve were detected at 305∼333℃ in N2 gas atmosphere. X-ray diffractograms showed that all of the polymer are crystalline at room temperature.
