Abstract
Interpentertatin polymer network(IPN) of polyurethane(PU)/polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA) membranes with different NOC/OF ratio were prepared and characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy, DEA, and SEM. The swelling bebavior and pervaporation characteristics for the benzene/cyclohexane mixtures through these membranes were also evaluated. From the results of electrical properties measurement by DEA, it was found that Tg values of PU and PMMA were increased by increasing NOC/OH ratio. The swelling of membrane was depressed with the increase of the NCO/OF ratio. The separation factor increased and the flux devreased when NCO/OH ratio was increased. All the membranes exhibited a high benzene selectivity for the benzene/cyclohexane mixtures of low benzene concentration and the IPN3.753M7 membrane, where the NCO/OH molar ratio was 3.75 and PU/PMMA was 30 : 70 wt%, showed the excellent selectivity. The selectivity decreased and the flux increased by increasing the temperature of the fee solution.
