Abstract
To study the change of tensile strength, elongation property, thermodynamic behavior, water-absorption property, and biodegradability of PCL/PLA blends, PCL/PLA = 100/0, 80/20, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 20/80, and 0/100 specimens were prepared. The biodegradability tests were performed by measuring the CO2 quantities evolved from incubators containing activated sludge. The experimental results show that the tensile strength, elongation and biodegradability increase as the quantity of PCL increases, while the rate of water-absorption decreases. The thermodynamic behaviors studied using DSC show that the PCL and PLA are not compatible.

PCL/PLA 블렌드의 인장강도, 연신 성질, 열역학적 성질, 수분흡수 특성 그리고 생분해도를 연구하기 위해 PCL/PLA 혼합비 100/0, 80/20, 60/40, 50/50, 40/60, 20,/80, 그리고 O/100의 시편을 준비하였다. 생분해도는 활성오니가 담겨져 있는 배양기로부터 나오는 CO2의 량을 측정함으로서 이루어졌다. 실험결과 인장강도, 연신율 그리고 생분해도는 PCL의 량이 증가할수록 커졌으나 수분흡수량은 감소하였다. 시차주사열량계를 이용한 열역학적 성질을 연구한 결과 PCL과 PLA는 상용성을 보이지 않았다.
