Abstract
The solid propellants were manufactured using polyethylene glycol, butanetriol trinitrate, diethyleneglycol dinitrate, cyclotrimethylene trinitramine and ammonium perchlorate, and their mechanical properties were studied. The copolymer consisted of acrylonitrile (AN, 80 wt% ) and 2-hydroxyethylacrylate (HEA, 20 wt% ) was more prominent for the enhancement of tensile strength of the propellant than that consisted of AN, HEA and methyl acrylate. This is because the solubility of bonding agent used in this study is similar to that of RDX. The optimum molecular weight of bonding agent was found to be about 50000 and it could be known that control of mixing temperature was important fur the effective adsorption of bonding agent on oxidizer particles.

Polyethylene glycol을 예비 중합체로 사용하고 butanetriol trinitrate와 diethyleneglycol dinitrate를 가소제로, cyclotrimethylene trinitramine(RDX)과 과염소산 암모늄을 산화제로 사용한 고체 추진제를 제조하여 이들의 인장 강도를 증진시키기 위한 연구를 하였다. 이들 추진제의 인장력을 증대시키기 위해 사용된 결합제로서 acrylonitrile과 2-hydroxyethylacryate를 80:20의 중량비로 합성된 공중합체가 methyl acrylate까지 사용한 삼원 공중합체보다 우수하였는데, 이것은 결합제의 용해도가 RDX의 용해도와 유사하였기 때문이었다. 또한 결합제의 분자량은 50000 정도의 것이 가장 효과적이었으며, 추진제의 혼합 과정에서 결합제가 산화제 표면에 효과적으로 흡착될 수 있도록 온도를 조절하는 것이 매우 중요함을 알았다.
