Abstract
The effect of curing accelerators on the mechanical properties of epoxy matrix and aramid fiber reinforced epoxy composites was investigated. The epoxy, diglycidylether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) was cured with methylene dianiline(MDA) with or without accelerators. Two kinds of accelerators were tested for the study ; tris(dimethylaminomethyl) phenol (DMP-30) and 3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,1-dimethyl urea (DIURON). DMP-30 is more effective accelerator than DIURON which showed higher Tg, faster gel time and good mechanical strength. In the aramid-fiber reinforced epoxyamine composites, it was also found that the composite accelereted by DMP-30 exhibits higher mechanical strength than that accelerated by DIIRON.

에폭시-아민계의 경화 촉진과 에폭시 매트릭스 및 아라미드 섬유보강 에폭시 복합재료의 기계적 물성에 미치는 에폭시 매트릭스의 경화촉진제의 영향을 연구하였다. 비스페놀A의 디글리 시딜에테르(DGEBA)는 촉진제와 함께/또는 촉진제 없이 메틸렌디아닐린(MDA)으로 경화시켰다. 본 연구를 위하여 트리스(디메틸아미노메틸)페놀(DMP-30)과 3-(3,4-디클로로페닐)-1,1-디메틸우레아(DIURON) 두 종류의 촉진제를 사용하였다. DMP-30이 높은 Tg와 빠른 겔화시간, 높은 기계적 강도를 보여 DIIUON보다 양호한 촉진제임을 알 수 있었다. 아라미드 섬유로 보강된 에폭시아민 복합재료에서도 DMP-30으로 경화 촉진된 에폭시 복합재료가 DIURON으로 경화 촉진된 에폭시 복합재료보다 높은 기계적 강도를 나타내었다.
