Abstract
Different PVC compositions were compounded with different level of acrylonitrile butadiene rubber(NBR) and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate(TMPTMA) as crosslinking agent to evaluate radiation sensitivity for gel formation and mechanical properties. When NRR and TMPTMA were mixed with PVC, the radiation dosage required for gel formation was found to be much smaller than normally plasticized PVC at room temperature. As TMPTMA content was increased, there was a progressive increase in gel formation up to 20 par of TMPTMA, then a slight increase in gel formation regardless of the addition of NBR. Normally plasticized PVC showed little change in tensile strength, modulus and elongation with irradiation but marked increases in tensile strength and modulus, and decrease in elongation were brought with adding of NBR or TMPTMA.

분자내 이중결합을 갖고 있는 acrylonitrile butadiene rubber(NBR)을 PVC에 혼합하거나 가교제를 첨가하여 브렌딩하고 난 다음 방사선 조사하여 이들의 gel 생성률 및 기계적 물성을 검토하였다. NBR이나 Trimethylolpropanetrimethacrlate(TMPTMA)를 PVC에 배 합하여 방사선 조사하면 가교에 필요한 방사선 선량이 이들을 배합하지 않은 것에 비해 훨씬 적었으며, TMPTMA함량이 증가함에 따라 20phr까지 gel화율이 급격히 증가하였으나, 피 이상의 함량에서 gel화율의 증가량이 크지 않았다. 일반 가소화된 PVC는 방사선 조사량의 증가에 따라 인장강도 탄성률 및 신장률은 거의 변화가 없었지만 NBR이나 TMPTMA클 PVC에 첨가한 경우는 인장강도와 탄성률은 급격히 증가하고 신장률은 감소하는 경향을보였다.
