Abstract
The ion-exchange resin containing sulfonic acid group was derived from resin synthesized with β-pinene and furfural. In the preparation of sulfonated β-pinenefurfural polymer, the optimum reaction conditions were studied with various temperatures and times. The total capacity of sulfonated ion-exchange resin was 4.9 meq/g. The adsorption and distribution coefficient of metal ions at various hydrochloric acid concentration were discussed. The adsorption and distribution coefficients of several metal ions on the ion-exchange resin decreased as hydrochloric acid concentration increased. Several cations can be separated by elution-column chromatography with the sulfonated β-pinene based ion-exchange resin.

베타피넨과 푸루푸랄로부터 모체 고분자를 합성하고 진한 황산으로 술폰화하여 술폰산기를 갖는 강산성 양이온 교환수지를 합성하였다. 술폰화시 최적 조건은 반응온도 60℃반응시간 6hr 이었다. 이 이온교환 수지의 이온교환 용량은 4.9meq/g (건조수지)이었다. 또 여러 pH 범위에서 금속이온들의 흡착능을 조사하였다 여러 pH범위의 염산용액에서 금속이온들의 분배계수를 구하였다. 분배계수는 염산의 농도가 감소함에 따라 증가하였다. 분배계수 곡선으로부터 몇가지 금속이온들의 용리현상에 대하여 논하였고, 이 이온교환수지의 재생성을 알아 보았다.
