Abstract
The rates of transport of tryptophan salt across a liquid membrane containing the cyclic polyether Dibenzo-18-crown-6 as the mobile carrier were studied with the variation of salt concentration, carrier concentration and time. In this study, liquid mom-brace was supported by a solid consisting of a porous teflon film(Gelman co.TF-450), the mixture of toluene and chloroform was used as a membrane solvent. Experimental results showed the following characteristic features of a mobile carrier mechanism. First, the rates of transport was linear in the concentration of tryptophan salt, it was consistent with single-cation model, which extended the Ward model. Second, the flux of salt was linear with increasing the concentration of carrier, Third, the ε/γ of a porous teflon membrane was 0.1006 by the experiment of permeability.

Dibenzo-18-crown-6의 운반체를 사용한 함침형 액막에서 용질의 농도, 운반체의 농도 및 시간의 변화에 따른 tryptophan 염의 전달속도 변화를 검토하였다. 본 연구에서 액막은 다공성 teflon 막(Gelman Co. TF-450)내에 함침시키었으며, 막 용매로는 chloroform 과 toluene 혼함물을 사용하였다 실험 결과 다음과 같은 운반체 메카니즘의 특성을 알았다. 첫째, 전달속도는 tryptophan 염 농도에 선형적으로 비례하였으며 그것은 단일양 이온 모델인 Ward 모델과 일치하였다. 둘째, 염의 전달속도는 운반체의 농토증가에 따라 역시 선형적인 증가를 나타내었다. 셋째, 본 실험에서 사용한 다공성 teflon 만의 특성치인 ε/γ을 투과도 실험 결과에 의하여 구할 수 있었는 바, 0.1006 이었다.
