The anionic polymerization of 2-pyrrolidone was carried out by using CS
2/KOH as an initiator-catalyst under various conditions. The effects of KOH concentration, CS
2/KOH mole ratio, temperature and time were examined. The yield of polymerization was determined and the polymerization was derived and inherent viscosity was obtained by using 96% comic. sulfuric acid as a solvent. It was observed that the percent conversion increased as increasing CS
2/KOH mole ratio, but decreased when CS
2/KOH mole ratio was higher than 0.4. The rate of polymerization at 30℃ is similar to that at 50℃but equilibrium percent conversion is higher at 30℃ than that at 50℃. As the concentration of initiator decreased, inherent viscosity of the resulting polymer increased.

2/KOH촉매작용을 사용하여 여러가지 조건하에서 pyrrolidone을 음이온 중합시켰다. KOH농도, CS
2/KOH몰비, 중합온도 및 시간의 영향을 조사하였다. 중합수율을 측정하고 중합 속도식을 유도하여 중합속도상수를 구하였다. 점도는 96% 진한황산을 용매로 사용하여 측정하였다. 중합수율은 CS
2/KOH몰비가 증가함에 따라 증가하다가 CS
2/KOH 몰비가 0.4를 넘으면 오히려 감소한다. 중합속도 상수는 온도에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았으나 중합수율은30℃의 경우가 50℃의 경우보다 높았다. 개시제의 농도가 낮을수록 점도는 증가하는 현상을 나타내었다.
