Abstract
For the replicate Production of cultural stone assets the Property of gypsum plaster was modified by adding to the gypsum polymeric materials such as polyvinyl acetate, acrylic polymers, styrene butadiene rubber latex and polyvinyl alcohol with metallic salt. The gypsum plaster mixed with polymeric material was cast into the mold and maintained for 40 min. at room temperature. Then, it was removed from the mold and cured for 48 hrs at 60℃ and then for 48 hrs at 20℃, successively. The modified gypsum plaster, especially when mixed with polyvinyl acetate emulsion, showed maximum 45% increase in compression and 200% in flexural strength relative to the unmodified. The impact strength was increased to max. 282% by modifing the gypsum with acrylic polymeric emulsion. The water absorption was greatly decreased when polyvinyl alcohol and metallic salt were added to the gypsum plaster.

석조 문화재의 복사를 만들기 위해 석고에 폴리비닐아세테이트, 아크릴계 고분자, 스타이렌-부타디엔 고무 라텍스, 폴리비닐알코올과 금속염등 고분자 물질을 첨가하여 석고의 성질을 개량하였다. 고분자물질이 혼입된 석고를 금형에 붓고 40분동안 실온에서 방치하였다. 다음 이것을 금형에서 꺼내고 48시간동안 60℃에서, 48시간동안 20℃에서 각각 유지하면서 양생시켰다. 개량된 석고는 특히 폴리비닐아세테이트 에멀전을 첨가하였을 때 압축강도에 있어서는 45%의 증가를, 굴곡강도에 있어서는 200%의 증가를 나타내었다. 충격강도는 아크릴계 수지에 멀젼을 석고에 혼입하였을 때 최고 282%로 증가되었다. 또한 흡수율은 폴리비닐알코올과 금속염을 석고에 혼입하였을 때 대단히 감소하였다.
