Abstract
Terpolymer in which copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile(SAN) was grafted on poly(butyl acrylate)(PBA) was synthesized by two-stage emulsion polymerization and their particle morphology was investigated. The raspberry-shaped particles were always formed via polymeric oil-in-oil(POO) particles irrespective of polymerization methods and conditions. The diameter of SAN particles dispersed in PBA rubber particle increased with decrease of viscosity of PBA particles formed in the first stage. The anchoring effect of water-soluble initiator was not observed

폴리부틸아크릴레이트(PBA) 라텍스 입자에 스티렌-아크릴로니트릴 공중합체(SAN)가 그라프트된 삼원공중합체를 유화중합하고 입자의 형태학을 관찰하였다. 여러가지 중합방법이나 조건의 변화에 관계없이 PBA/SAN 고분자 짝을 유화중합할 경우는 항상 초기단계의 POO(poly-meric oil-in-oil)형 입자를 거쳐 딸기형의 입자들이 형성되었다. PBA 고무상 속에 분산되어 있는 SAN 입자의 크기는 일단계에서 형성된 PBA 입자의 내부 점도가 감소할수록 커진다. 또 친수성 개시제의 닻 효과는 관찰할 수 없었다.
