In this study, the effect of fabrication method on the basic properties and electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding performance of the nylon66/carbon filler composites was discussed. The carbon fillers such as carbon black (CB), multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), and nickel coated carbon fiber (Ni-CF) were used. The master-batch (MB) of CB/MWCNT and feeding method of Ni-CF were used as fabrication methods. The concentration of CB and MWCNT in MB was fixed at 20 wt% and MBs were fabricated by using a twin screw extruder at die temperature of 280 ℃. The composites were prepared with two different feeding methods that Ni-CFs were fed separately at main and side feeder. The improvements of melt flow and electrical properties were confirmed from complex viscosity and surface resistance in the case of nylon 66/CB/CNT/Ni-CF composites fabricated through MB, and EMI shielding performance increased largely when Ni-CF was fed into the composites at side feeder.
본 연구에서는 나일론66/탄소필러 복합체의 기초 물성 및 전자파 차폐 성능에 대한 제조방법의 영향을 고찰하였다. 탄소필러 종류로는 카본블랙(CB), 다중벽 탄소나노튜브(MWCNT), 니켈코팅 탄소섬유(Ni-CF)가 사용되었다. 제조방법으로는 CB/MWCNT에 대한 마스터배치(master-batch, MB)와 Ni-CF 투입방법을 고려하였다. MB의 CB와 MWCNT 함량은 20 wt%로 고정하여 다이 온도 기준으로 280 ℃의 이축압출기(twin screw extruder)에서 제조하였다. 또한 Ni-CF 투입방법은 주 투입구(main feeder)와 부 투입구(side feeder)로 달리하여 복합체를 제조하였다. MB를 적용한 나일론 66/CB/CNT/Ni-CF 복합체의 경우, 용융 흐름성과 전기적 특성이 개선됨을 복소점도 및 표면저항으로부터 확인하였고, Ni-CF가 부 투입구에 투입되는 경우 전자파 차폐 성능이 큰 폭으로 증가하는 것을 확인하였다.
