 About This Journal
- Polymer(Korea) is an official journal published bimonthly by the Polymer Society of Korea. The journal covers a wide range of the highly multidisciplinary fields of polymer science, engineering,and technology. The manuscript can be written in either Korean or English. The journal publishes original research papers including articles, communications, and notes. Also reviews and feature articles can be considered for publication by invitation base. The official title of the journal is Polymer(Korea) and the abbreviated title is Polym. Korea. The URL address of the journal is http://journal.polymer-korea.or.kr/. Since established in 1977 by the Polymer Society of Korea, the journal is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded from 1995 and indexed in Chemical Abstracts, Polymer Contents, Materials Science Citation Index, Chemistry Citation Index, and Research Alert. This journal is supported by the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies Grant funded by the Korean Government (MEST) and there is no article publication charge for foreign corresponding authors. All rights reserved. Reproduction, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form of any part of this publication is permitted only by written permission from the Polymer Society of Korea.
- 폴리머지는 1977년 한국고분자학회의 공식적인 학회지로 창간된 이래 42권(2018년도)에 3,700 여편의 논문을 발행하였다. 폴리머지는 Chemical Abstracts (CA)에 색인되고 있을 뿐만 아니라, CA에서도 중요한 잡지로 인식되고 있다. 즉, CA에 실리는 9,000여종의 잡지 중에서 폴리머지는 1,500 개의 중요한 화학 잡지 (key chemical journals 또는 core journals)에 속하고, 이것은 화학 관련 잡지로는 중요한 위치에 있다는 것을 반영한다.
Polymer Contents에도 폴리머지의 내용이 인용되고 있다. 그 외에도 여러 색인지에 폴리머지가 인용되고 있는데, 몇 가지를 쓰면 다음과 같다. Science Citation Index (SCI)에는 현재 3,736종, Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI Expanded)에는 9,100 여종의 잡지들이 색인되는데, 폴리머지는 1995년부터 SCI Expanded에 등재되어 있다.
Materials Science Citation Index 에는 인용되는 많은 학술 잡지 중에서 폴리머지가 세계에서 558종의 선도 학술잡지 목록 (world's leading scholarly journal)에 포함되어있다. Chemistry Citation Index에는 여기에 인용되는 학술 잡지 중에서 폴리머지가 세계에서 494종의 선도 화학 관련 학술 잡지에 속한다.
